Based in Berlin and Dublin, Rioghnach Ní Ghrioghair is an award-winning writer, director and producer.

Winner of the 2022 Aer Lingus Discovery Award, Rioghnach’s horror short film, Don’t Go Where I Can’t Find You, funded by Creative Europe and Dlr Council, was selected for SXSW 2022. It has also screened at Slash Fantastic, Fantasia, Brussels International Fantastic, Palm Springs, San Diego, Atlanta, Dublin, Cork, New Orleans Film Festivals and many more.

She is also the writer and director of crime short Break Us, which went to over 30 international festivals internationally including Fantasia Film Festival in 2020. She produced and directed Do I Know You? and wrote and directed sci-fi short Neon. All three films were supported by Screen Ireland.

In summer 2022, Rioghnach wrote and directed Balor Hall, a half hour whodunnit commissioned by RTE under their Storyland Scheme which aired in October 2022.

As well as being apart of the 2023 BBC Writers Room, she is also one of Screen International’s Rising Stars 2023.

PRODUCER

Claire is a producer based in Dublin. She is an alumnus of the Rotterdam Film Lab (2020) and IDFAcademy (2022).

She has recently completed co-producing a feature documentary, THE GHOST OF RICHARD HARRIS (2022), which had its World Premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival.

Her feature film HOLY ISLAND (2021) premiered at the 66th Cork International Film Festival and had its theatrical release in Ireland in October 2022.

Claire’s short film, AN ENCOUNTER (2021) has won many international awards and it is currently qualified for Best Live Action Short Film at the Academy Awards 2023.

Her short film DON’T GO WHERE I CAN’T FIND YOU (2021) had its North American premiere at SXSW. Her short film SAFE AS HOUSES (2022) will be having its North American premiere at Slamdance in January 2023.
